- 1 oz Warrior (14.5 AAU)
This was my second hop water attempt (first here: Brew 75 – Hop Water). I cut the hops in half, only left them in the water 10 minutes instead of 30, and started them at 165F rather than 140F.
- Fill pot to 1/2″ below rivets.
- Place on stove high.
- At 165F, place muslin bag with hops in water.
- After 10 minutes, remove hop bag.
- Bring to boil for 10 minutes.
- Cool in ice bath and with stirring.
- Pour into keg.
The hop water had a copper tint. I had more than could fit in the keg. Next time start with less water at the beginning.
