Brew 8 – Russian Imperial Stout

This one was using the base Brewer’s Best Russian Imperial Stout kit.

Ingredients:

  • Steeped Grains
    • 0.5 lb Caramel 60L
    • 0.5 lb Roasted Barley
    • 0.5 lb Black Patent
  • Additions
    • 6.6 lb Dark LME
    • 2.0 lb Dark DME
    • 0.5 lb Maltodextrin
  • Hops
    • 1 oz Columbus 10.9% (bittering)
    • 0.5 oz Cascade 6.4% (aroma)
  • Yeast
    • 1 pkg Safale S-04 Dry Ale Yeast

OG: 1.076 @ 68F. FG: 1.032 @ ~60F. Transferred to secondary and added 1.5 oz Oak chips. Plan to age for 8 weeks.
