Tofu Ground Beef

  • 12-14 oz extra firm tofu
  • 3 T tamari sauce (*try something with less sodium next time *)
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 1 t garlic powder
  • 2 t paprika powder
  • 1 t smoked paprika powder
  • 1 T nutritional yeast
  • 1 t corn starch
  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Press tofu to remove excess water.
  3. In a medium bowl, crumble the tofu.
  4. Add all other ingredients and stir to combine.
  5. Transfer tofu crumbles to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stiring every few minutes.

Notes:

  • 2024-08-03 this was pretty salty with 3 T tamari. Try something reduced sodium or an alternative to the tamari.
