- 15 oz black beans
- 1 T olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c red onion, diced
- 4 oz mushrooms, cleaned and chopped
- 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 large egg, whisked
- 2/3 c bread crumbs
- 1 t chili powder
- 1 t onion powder
- 1 t ground cumin
- 1 t dried oregano
- 1 t salt
- 1/4 t ground black pepper
- Cook black beans (if not using canned), mash up with fork.
- Saute onions, peppers, and mushrooms for 3-5 minutes.
- Add salt, pepper, and garlic and cook 2 minutes.
- Combine black beans, cooked veggies, bread crumbs, egg, and spices.
- Form into patties.
- Oil and grill 5-6 minutes per side.
