On August 20-23 we camped at Big Bend near Newaygo area. It was a fairly nice trip. We did a small hike in the park and drove and checked out the Hardy Dam nearby. There was a day use beach area near the dam that we used as well. The beach at the campground was a ways away from the camp site. The bathrooms were decent but not as nice as most state park facilities.
Nicolynn had a surprise when she went to throw away something in a garbage can!
We had nice weather and enjoyed several campfires!
They also hosted a Bingo game on Saturday morning which we all got to play. The prizes were pretty great also and we won free firewood, ice, and ice cream!
