Brew 7 – Pumpkin Spice Ale

I brewed a pumpkin ale.

  • Steeped Grains
    • 1.0 lb Munich
    • 0.5 lb Crystal 80L
    • 0.5 lb Carapils/Dextrin
  • Additions
    • 2 cans (60 oz.) 100% Pure Canned Pumpkin (90 min)
    • 7.8 lb Light LME (60 min)
    • 10 min: 2.5 tsp Cinnamon
    • 10 min: 1.5 tsp Nutmeg
    • 10 min: 1.5 tsp Allspice
  • Hops
    • 60 min: 1 oz Northern Brewer
    • 30 min: 1 oz U.K. W.G.V.
  • Misc
    • 10 min: Irish Moss / Whirlfloc
  • Yeast
    • White Labs Liquid California Ale Yeast WLP001

Wow, this one turned out really good. I’d like to do it again, perhaps with a little more pumpkin and a little less allspice.
