I brewed an IPA based on a recipe from my friend Mike Zwagerman. It is my highest-gravity beer so far, especially since his recipe was based on 6 gallons but I only did a 5 gallon batch.

- 4.0 lb Amber LME
- 9.0 lb Light LME
- Steeped Grains
- 1/2 lb Chocolate
- 1/2 lb Crystal 40L
- 1/2 lb Crystal 60L
- Hops
- 45 min: 1.0 oz Centennial
- 40 min: 1.0 oz Chinook
- 30 min: 1.0 oz Columbus
- Yeast
- 2 pkts of Safale US-05 Dry Ale Yeast E491
OG: 1.092 @ ~78; FG: 1.028 @ ~69
Lots of activity after 12 hours; very little at 4 days so I transferred to the secondary. Gravity was about 1.030 @ ~72.
